Donghoon Lee

Postdoc Researcher

Specialization

Donghoon joined the CHC in September 2020 as a postdoc researcher, where he focuses on applying EO products and machine learning to predict agricultural statistics in food-insecure countries in support of FEWS NET.

While Donghoon’s Ph.D. research at UW-Madison included global-scale studies, he has also worked on research projects focused on flood-induced public health vulnerability and risk assessment in specific locations around the world with Red Cross Climate Centre, as well as various national disaster management agencies.

Donghoon likes to travel to the actual location of his research focus in order to grasp the reality of the problems he seeks to solve and interact with key personnel. He has already visited Ethiopia, Bangladesh, and Peru and is looking forward to safely traveling in the future.
