Application Programmer

Bio

Robert Saldivar has worked with the Climate Hazards Center since March 2021 as an Application Programmer. Robert earned his Master’s from the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at UCSB in 2020. Robert’s research focused on conservation planning and environmental data science, with an emphasis on how to better incorporate empirical data into habitat connectivity models. Robert has previously worked at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS), where he supported working groups with data analysis and modeling.
In his spare time, Robert enjoys running and preparing for his next race. Robert can also be found volunteering with local organizations to help improve the community.
