Eric Yoon

Bio

Eric is a 4th year undergraduate student at UCSB, majoring in Statistics & Data Science with a minor in Spatial Studies. He is passionate about applying his data science skills towards environmental change. His experience includes a project with Shraddhanand Shukla and the Climate Hazard Center where he executed extensive data analysis, generated insightful visualizations, derived relevant metrics, and documented results and code, all to evaluate the performance of CHIRPS in comparison with other industry standard datasets.

Eric is currently involved in testing, updating, and documenting code for sub-seasonal and crop yield forecasts, and building a robust Python pipeline for various forecasts. Outside of work and studies, Eric enjoys cycling, cooking, and photography.
