Pamella Mogane

Assistant Field Scientist

Bio

Pamella Mogane is an assistant field scientist for FEWS NET in southern Africa. She completed a BSc degree majoring in Environmental Hydrology and Soil Science at the University of KwaZulu Natal in 2014. She obtained her honours degree in Hydrology in 2015 and has since been part of the FEWS NET team contributing to monthly monitoring and reporting. She is also an active contributor to the GEOGLAM Crop Monitor monthly assessment. Pamella is currently pursuing an MSc in hydrology, which focuses on mapping and evaluating water and soil-related ecosystem services in the rural communities of the Drakensburg Mountains in South Africa. Her research is intended to aid the development of a spatial decision-making tool that will inform the sustainable management of water resources. In her free time, Pamella enjoys singing and runs her own small cake business.
